How It Works

How The Daily Shorts Work

The Daily Shorts open completely flat and fasten in front with two side closures, so they go on with a roll instead of a standing transfer. Watch the mechanism below, then see the same three steps in photos.

How to use

Three steps, done in bed.

The Daily Shorts lying fully open, side closures unfastened

Step 01

Open the shorts flat.

Unfasten both side closures so the shorts lie completely open on the bed beneath your loved one.

Step 02

Roll them and slide it under.

Gently roll them onto one side, slide the shorts underneath, then roll them back. The shorts are now in place.

Step 03

Close and done.

Fasten both sides from hem to waist and they're dressed, entirely in bed, in one position.

Why This Is Easier Than Regular Shorts

Regular shorts assume the wearer can stand, step in one leg at a time, and bridge their hips to pull the waistband up. For someone recovering from surgery, a stroke, or a hospital stay, that sequence is often the hardest part of getting dressed.

The Daily Shorts remove that requirement entirely: no step of the process requires standing, threading a leg through fabric, or bridging the hips. The whole thing happens while the wearer stays lying down, which is why it's easier to put on someone this way than to put a pair of jeans on them.
